RSA

PETERBOROUGH

The Project

RSA (previously Royal Sun Alliance) needed to fit-out a new office space for their Peterborough operation.

HHCPM worked on behalf of the main contractor to manage the Design and Build project and handover to RSA.

The Challenge

Fit-out 60,000 square feet of user and technical space, including provision of 8 new UPS rooms and new air conditioning systems, new lighting and electrical installations; all serving call centre and associated business support functions

Complete design in timely and cost efficient fashion to ensure all Client needs for new space were met

Schedule and complete all main contract works within very tight timescale in partially occupied building with noisy works out of hours

Co-ordinate activities of all RSA Direct contractors installing cabling, furniture, AV and equipment

Maintain extremely tight programme timescale

The Result

Fit-out completed on time and on budget within fast-track 10 week period

Contraction of programme by 2 months was assimilated with no delay to Practical Completion

Value engineering throughout project achieved practical and cost effective solutions

Adopted as standard for RSA fit-outs moving forward

HHC have since completed project management on 2 further RSA fit-outs
